Chico Street

Of the two and a half years I have been in Chico and known Kyle, I have never filmed a street edit with him. Maybe it is because I am always riding with him, but Kyle just got a new bike and we finally decided to spend a day filming. Here's what we came out with, enjoy!

Rock Roll

The other day Kyle and I woke up at 6 to head over to this rock roll that he found. It was supposed to rain, so we had to get in and out relatively quickly. Right at the last shot it started to dump so we quickly packed up and climbed on out. The climb consisted of an xc-race climb that was very steep hard, especially with a heavy ass camera backpack on. The things you do for a shot, good times. Well, as it turns out the first and last shots were my favorite and here they are, enjoy!

A Weekend in SLO

The past weekend my good friend Allen and I headed down to his hometown San Luis Obispo to get out of Chico and to ride and be somewhere different. We drove down Friday and after a nice home-cooked meal at Allen's, we headed to an indoor park in Atascadero with a few other friends. The next day Allen and I got shuttled to some of, if not THE gnarliest trails I have ridden. They were the kind where you are almost happier to make it down alive then actually ride them, but still fun as hell! After a few runs, we headed to our friend Kevin's mulch jump and rode until we couldn't see, even with car headlights. On Sunday, a few of us drove out to MontaƱa de Oro to ride some xc with incredible views of the coast. I had not touched my camera because I was so busy riding all weekend, but I could not leave without taking some pictures. After a pedal up with the camera on the back, it was all good from there. So, after a full three days of riding and driving, I only documented the last day but all in all it was a trip that I will remember. Here's what I came out with, enjoy!

Pumped on the Pump Track

The past week or so a bunch of us have been working on my good friend Kyle Warner's backyard. He had most of it built from the years before, but we spent a couple days just clearing the yard out. Now that everything is clear, we have been adding new lines and planning things out to utilize the whole backyard. This isn't your average pump track. First of all, the space is pretty tight, but Kyle has made this into a dirt skatepark with lines everywhere and has made it flow so nice. Also there are very few pumps throughout the track, which means you carry your speed through berms and bowls which makes it more challenging, but much more fun. Stay tuned for an edit once we are finished with the digging, but for now here are a couple photos of it, enjoy!

Wallride this, hip it, or soak it up and blast this berm. All are equally as fun!

Lower Bidwell with the Lady

My girlfriend is going to hate me for this, but I gotta post them. The other day Kelsey and I headed to Lower Bidwell to take some photos. Lower Bidwell is all flat and full of little cruiser paths, but is so beautiful and full of different types of trees. Not the best place to shred, but a really really nice place to go and picnic along Chico Creek, or just be close to nature right next to town. Here is what we came out with, enjoy!

Mammoth Lakes

A couple months back, I went to Mammoth with my girlfriend and family. We hiked and biked and hung with  family and friends. I was mostly too busy riding my bike and didn't really take that many photos, but here is what I came out with by the end. Enjoy!

Fire leading up to the clouds and making them crazy! It is hard to capture this in a photo.

A day of riding in Chico

Last monday, my two good riding friends came up for a spur of the moment visit for the night and the next day. Luckily, I don't really have class on Tuesdays, so it was the perfect time to show them the spots. They arrived monday night and we headed to my backyard mini ramp, which I thought was only skate-able. Wrong. These dudes shred so hard and push each other and it was so much fun to watch them ride such a tiny setup. The next day we woke up early and started at the Chico park. After we rode for a bit and took a few photos, we went to the Oroville park which is one of my favorite parks because of the perfect transitions and unique lines it has. After a super solid sesh, we headed back to Chico to Rob Kennedy's Compound, which happens to be open to the public on only Tuesdays and Saturdays! Mitch hit his first real dirt jump and Tyler spun all jumps and flipped one of them! All in all this day was sick and I am super stoked they came out. Here is what we came out with, enjoy!

A Day with Mr. Warner

On my birthday the other day, my good friend Kai came up to visit and celebrate. We decided it was about time to go out and make an edit with Kyle, so Tuesday morning Kai, Kyle, and I headed out to lower Guardians trail. After a good hike up, the fun began. The ride ended with a nice refreshing dip in the creek. Check mine and Kai's media blog: http://ontherealmedia.blogspot.com/ for the upcoming edit! Enjoy..
